September 2nd (aka Tomorrow!)

Hey guys! In case you missed some of my previous blogs, I am here to remind you that “The Office” Season 4 is released on DVD tomorrow! It is also available on Amazon.com. And I have to tell you, they are very quick about shipping. In fact, I pre-ordered my copy last week and it was actually shipped Saturday! And it was also a very reasonable price on Amazon. The DVDs are also available at the NBC Store for a less reasonable price. Have a great week and enjoy watching Season 4!

P.S. If you aren’t interested in purchasing the DVDs, you can view the majority of Season 4 for FREE on Hulu.com.

The Office scores the best time slot ever: right after the Super Bowl

NBC is counting on big things from The Office — it’s been given the best slot ever, a one-hour show directly after the Super Bowl.

Executive Producer Paul Lieberstein (also known as “Toby” around the office) loves the one-hour shows, because it gives them a chance to dig deeper into some of the characters:

It lets us get deeper into some of the other characters that only have very small stories generally. So I always enjoy ‘em. I think people like to see what’s going on with some of the characters who only get grunts or reactions when Michael says something stupid.

TV Squad thinks this could be a great time to find out more about Creed, or maybe Kevin.  Who would you like to see profiled in an episode like this?

The Primetime Emmys air Sunday September 21st and the new season of “The Office” begins Thursday September 25th!!

Rashina Jones is (probably) coming to the Office spin-off; Amy Poehler isn’t

A few interesting tidbits from the Silverman-Graboff executive session a few days ago, brought to us by TV Squad.

First, Amy Poehler will be coming to a new show, but it won’t be the famed “Office” spin-off.  However, Rashida Jones (better known as Karen from the current Office series) is likely going to join the spin-off cast.

The Amy Poehler show will likely debut in March, with an Office kind of feel.  According to Silverman:

they came up with two ideas, one which is totally a spinoff which they’re pursuing planted inside, using Office characters, and there was a parallel concept that’s stylistically like The Office, but not part of the Office world.

With that in mind, it could be a fun show too.  We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.

Steve Carell will be back for three more years!

According to SlashFilm, Steve Carell has signed on for three more years of The Office!

This is certainly great news to all fans of the show.

Summer Reading

I’m sure, now that summer is upon us, you’re looking for those summer reading options. Well, in case you didn’t already know, The Office’s Jenna Fischer (Pam), has a blog that she updates pretty regularly. If this is news to you, you should check it out. Go back and read some old posts because they’re pretty interesting. But this weekend she posted a blog answering fans’ questions. It’s a two-parter. Here’s part one. And here’s part 2. Enjoy!

Your Office Fix

It’s been 8 days since the last taste of a new episode. But last night, some members of The Office cast (Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nuñez, Leslie David Baker, Kate Flannery, and Brian Baumgartner) appeared on “Last Comic Standing” according to Officetally.com.

Here’s a clip.

Return Date Fall 2008

Good news, NBC released the date of return for “The Office” as September 25th! Only 4 months away. Start the countdown. Here’s the release.

Saturday Night Live

Steve Carell on SNL tonight! 11:30/10:30c. Don’t miss it!

Ahhh…Love at first sight, with my ears

So after last night’s finale I immediately went to Amazon to find out when Season 4 will be released on DVD, only to find that the date had yet to be released. After doing some digging I found TVShowsOnDVD.com, which has an interesting story concerning the revealing of the release date. If you don’t care about the interesting story, the release date is September 9, 2008. It should be available for pre-release shortly on Amazon.com.
